About to set up hoglight..i think it really doesnt matter..but would like some feedback on whats the best color light is less likely to spook hogss/varmits at a baited site..thanks!

I use the red lens at less than 30 yards (baited site - bowhunting) and the green for any other times or if I am gun hunting. I have the Hawg Light Maurader which has both led heads in addition to the white light.

once they get used to it they don't care the color but red and blue works well. I have used both colors on spot lights and never spooked hogs from the lights.

very dim white lights, or green led... if you want one for your rifle/bow check out bowlite products...then you could sit in the dark and just shine the light when you needed too

If it's a light that comes on each night it doesn't matter. I use the cheap solar landscape lights mounted on t-posts around my feeder. If just want to spend some money you can purchase several different commercially available brands.

For scanning or viewing once I know the pigs are there via the lights, I use either a NV or monocular to see what is going on.

For taking the animal, I use either a gun with an elusive wildlife XLR 250 mounter or a gun with night vision. As time goes by, I doubt I continue to use the flaslight much. Night vision is absolutely the way to go.

green, blue, or red.

i like green. i am making one that i think is better than most of them you can buy. have killed hogs under it. and killed a big bobcat under it last night . if you are interested . let me know. i can send you one. i can make them in green, red, or blue. am sold out of them right now. but should have another batch of them ready next week.
