If you are getting sleepy during the day and also snore be sure to get checked for sleep apnea.
To be determined

Set up and hunt where there's lots of deer movement. If you're busy watching deer you won't get sleepy. The nearest I've fallen asleep in tree stands were when I had does in. For some reason I'm more frantic looking around, but once some does move in and I remain still then I drift off.

depends If I am after a big buck, I am too wired to fall asleep maybe for a few seconds I will be in that 1/2 asleep state but I just can't go all the way out
Now, if I am just hunting for does then I have been known to knock out for a few moments. it's great when one of the kids are with me because he can be on guard duty

for grown men and women, especially with kids, the "nap" is something i usualy only get to do in the blind! enjoy it, embrace it, get to the blind earlier so you can get your nap out of the way by first light and your good to go@ Works for me. I can get a good nap in about 45 mins before daylight. The afternoons can be tough!

You need something less comfortable. I'll trade you a tipod for that blind. Wouldn't want you to miss that big buck cause you were sleepin.

Take something warm and cute along... A kitten or puppy? Might scare the deer if they smell or hear it.
Friend, I wouldn't harm thee for all the world, but thou art standing where I am about to shoot.

Eat some of those Allsup beef and beand burritos. Don't drink the night before. Get a good nights sleep.
I fell asleep on the floor of a ground blind once and woke up to 25-30 gobblers that were 20 - 50 yards from the blind. I grabbed my gun and popped one.

When I was 12, my first year of deer hunting, I fell asleep sitting at the base of a tree. When I woke up, my gun was gone. You wanna talk about freaking out...10 minutes later my brother and uncle show up with my gun and give it to me iwth much laughter...bastages....30 years later, I've never fallen asleep in a blind again. :-)

Sometimes I open a window to let cold air in, most of the time it is too damn hot to sleep, having deer out helps. Last weekend I got to work at 6 friday morn worked all day got home packed slept from 12-130, got up drove to the ranch and walked to the blind... I was full blown chain saw snoring and there wasnt anything you could do to stop it.

this season in Illinois I was on a latch-on 30 feet up (w/safety vest) nodding off, so I climbed down and took one of the best 1 hour naps of my life. Just a little cool and breezy, sounds of nature all around. I'm sure a Booner walked by when I was asleep.

Just get one of those battery powered wireless driveway monitors. Put the monitor at your feeder and the receiver in your stand. When you hear the Ding Ding you can open one eye and see if you're interested.

Deer hunters best friend. For them warm afternoons when not much is moving. Your cost about $40 bucks. Add $10 for camo colors.

I fall asleep every time I get in the stand.
Started out as an evening hunt in the stand. Ended up being a siesta til 9pm.
