This truck came into my property and left the gate dummy locked. I have checked with local authorities and no one recognizes it. Just thought I would post here and see if anyone knows who this is. I would love to know why they left the gate unlocked. They did it on purpose as the closed lock and the open chain link were hooked onto a piece of wire on the gate.

Go to the nearest coffee shop/ cafe and you will find him either early in the morning or at lunch.

Is it a pumper? Should be pretty easy to track down with the truck number in plain view

No oil wells on the property so I don't think it is a pumper. I can't get the plate number. The sun was hitting at just the right angle to hide it.
We have called everyone we can think of and no luck yet. If we can figure out what company the truck is from it will be easy as we have the truck number.

The guy is holding a giant stack of papers in the first photo. Very likely they are arial maps or survey's.
Regardless, he shouldn't be there without permission.

It has a red circle on the top of the truck beside the light and a red square on the side of the truck...anyone have any idea what those might be???

That looks like a pad hes pulling up to...there are no old wells or natural gas pipes on the place? there wont be more than a few pipes sticking out of the ground...these guys came to check every so often on a place i used to work on..they had there own lock on each gate and didnt have to let you know when they came...is it a combo lock or key?

Must be some sort of utility company. They are usually the only ones who have a number rather than a company or city name on their work trucks but who knows. Doesn't look like the truck is rigged out for survey.

I'm sure 1335 is his truck number. Looks like someone from the oil/gas industry. Maybe he just had the wrong place? Looks like he was in and out in just a few mins so maybe that is the case.

Call Comanche Electric Coop. Bet it is their's. I know they have a initiative to geo-tag all poles and meters in their coverage area. Our lease is in southern Stephens county and I have seen a couple of trucks like this off 1852.

Obviously some type of construction with the light, numbered vehicle, and the safety vest but I would want to know his reason for being there as well.

I would guess gas or electric company. I would check with the GW and see what he says.
Good Luck
I'd ask him if he's pregnant. He missed a s__tload of periods. I'll take "things that look like a uterus" for $200 Alex.

I zoomed in on the plate enough to see that it's a paper plate. The truck was just purchased and doesn't have metal tags yet. That would explain the reason for no registration sticker but every new vehicle must have an inspection. I suspect that the truck most likely came from out of state and they just haven't inspected it yet.

Looks like a railroad comission truck to me. They have exempt plate and no inspection sticker. I have them come on my place very few years to check old injection wells.

All of the above.^^^^^ In southern Eastland county a lot of work is being done on utility poles....lots. One would hope he's not trying to be conspicuous but him not locking your gate is another issue.

There are several locks on the gate, rail road commision, oil field, water district.... The one that he apparantly opened and relocked is not marked. Or he may have unloaked a lock and taken it with him and that is why he dummy locked the gate.
Either way I would like to know who it is. I have talked with sheriff and city. They have asked everyone and no one recognizes it. Now that they know I bet someone will spot it sooner or later.

Even vehicles with Exempt plates are required to have an inspection sticker. I should know. I drive one daily.
