Ok so if im trapping and catch a pig. Will shooting it in the trap make any difference in catching more pigs in it later?

I'd think not seeing how they will eat their own given an opportunity. In fact you might attract more. Hogs will eat anything I think.

It's the time spent in God's creation with family and friends making memories that counts.

America is at that awkward stage. It's too late to work within the system, but too early to shoot the bastards. Claire Wolfe

I don't think there has ever been anything proven that shooting them in the trap will deter other hogs from entering the trap afterwards. JMO

You should find a buyer in your area. They are worth more than you would think alive!

I shoot everyone I catch and my traps have not been moved in a while. Doesnt seem to matter to the hogs in my opinion.

It doesn't affect the results of other hogs coming into your trap.

Started out as an evening hunt in the stand. Ended up being a siesta til 9pm.

If they're not to big we will just throw a rope around them, drag them out and kill them outside. I don't know if it affects them, but better o be safe than sorry. If it's a bigun we will kill it in there and it's usually a couple days before we get another one in that trap!

We have shot everyone we trapped inside. We also usually just walk up on them and issue forth the dirt nap because you can taste the difference if their adrenaline is sky high when you kill them. we haven't moved the main camp trap in probably 5 years and have shot a ton of pigs in it.

I dont have the spare time to trap em, tend to em and go sell em, so I just shoot em in the trap, drag em out, reset trap, kill some more. there is money to be made if you got the spare time to do it, having a regular job and cattle to tend makes it a problem for me.
