Mom had some hard times while I was away in college. She pawned all the guns from my childhood. The ones I can't seem to replace were a pump action .22 lr with a lot of sentimental value and a 20 gage Remington 1100 LT. I just haven't been able to find replacements.

Marlin 1894 in .357 Magnum. I really really should have kept that gun. The guy that got it kept offering more and more money for it. I gave in when it got to be too much money and sold it to him cheaper than he was offering. He was 79 then and it made him very happy. He has since passed and his son has the gun.

Had a Winchester Model 63 22LR that was handed down by my great grandfather stolen a couple years ago. Had lots of sentimental value and really upset my Dad when he found out it had been stolen.

Traded a Model 42 Winchester 410 off about 30 years ago. I got an outstanding deal $$$$$ on it then, but I sure wish I had it back.....

I just wish I had the guns back that got stolen from my home in 1987. 17 long guns and 4 pistols most of them I inherited from my Grandfather.
Bartender, bring me anything except brake fluid, cause I don't plan on stopping!

I need some Kleenex......these stories are tear jerkers.

Those are some touching stories. I don't blame you for the kleenex.
I wish I had every gun I ever sold.
We had no/poor maternity insurance. Over the years that accounted for a bass boat sale, pickup truck sale and the sale of several guns. I have also felt sorry for a couple of old buddies when they were in hard times and could not afford a rifle and that accounted for a couple rifles I wish I could get back.
Savage Model 99 300 Savage. It was a real tack driver. It has been gone a long time, but I still miss it.
Franchi 12 ga. Semi. I could do no wrong with this one. It fit well. The doves are glad it is gone and often whistle hysterically as they pass me unscathed.
Marlin 30-30 I purchased from a friend when he got the bug for an ’06. It was exceptionally accurate. A buddy borrowed it for a deer hunt and loved it. I sold it to him for just enough so he would have some ownership. It was promptly stolen from his home and is gone forever. I miss it. (My friend misses it, too. The '06 he had to have was a featherwight that did the hucklebuck on his shoulder. Even now he flinches involuntarily when he recounts stories about it.)
Marlin 336 in 44 mag. An old hunting buddy went through a nasty divorce. His $1000 plus per month child support payments made it almost impossible to get together the money for a rifle. I made him a low price deal and only asked that if he ever sold it that he would sell it back to me. It was stolen from his apartment. I miss it.
Finally, here is one I wish I could have bought. My cousin, who has since passed away, fell on hard times and sold his deer rifle. He was probably too embarrassed to call and ask if I wanted it, though we had hunted together for years. He had an immaculate pre-64 Winchester Model 70 in 243 his father had bought for him when he was a boy. He is gone and the old Model 70 is gone. I miss him, especially during hunting season and I sure wish I had his deer rifle to carry out into the brush in his honor now and then.

That Marlin in the 336 was the same one(model/make) I let go in the pawn swap. Loved that 44 Mag

A lot of lost loves in the form of Remmy 788's. Only gun I ever let a buddy talk me into selling was a 788 in .243 that shot lights out. Really wish I still had it. Replaced it with a 700 ADL in .243 a couple years ago, but not quite as good a gun. Lesson learned the hard way...
