Finally got the ugre to wake up at 2am and go hunt this morning. Instead of just riding around I did the tried and true method, and set at a spot known to deleiver hogs. As soon as I cut the truck off I heard squeling were they would come from, thought this would be easy. Well after looking at the pictures from the prevoius night the hogs must have been in the pasture when I drove up and they spooked off. I thought they were gettting closer but after an hour the squeling had stopped, then I saw a good boar cut the corner of the hayfeild but he kept moving About 3:30 I saw this boar come in and stay at an oak tree smacking on acorns at the edge of the feild, Got all of my stuff together and made the stalk to about 30 yards and let one go. He went DRT with a behind the ear entrance and in front of shoulder exit. Using 110g Hornady BTHP. I think he will be close to around 175#   All the hogs I've shot, and in the dead of winter this one is covered in mud!?! Equipment Used: -Rock River Coyote Carbine -110g Hornady BTHP -EoTech 552 -PVS-14 w/ 3x Magnifier -ATN IR 450 -Stoner Magizine -Protec Fast Ops Helmet

Pretty cool set up for pig huntin. Yeah it's nice but you gotta have the right equipment to control them. Its not 'hunting' anymore.......

Whats the deal with the helment? I mount the PVS-14 on it while I'm driving around or walking.. Alot easier than having to hold it up with your hand..
