Duck/goose Hunting private land and hunting the LBJ grasslands a lot too. It's been a great season! If any of you guys ever want to join just let know.

The grasslands have been great the last few weeks, limits just about
Every trip for those of you looking for a free/easy place to get some ducks down.

Please do not name lakes or other Public areas that you hunt.

Thanks for the invite Clark. I have been shooting so many on Lavon and Roberts that I have not needed to drive that far. Keep blasting away though, keeps em stirred up.

OMG!! did you really just name a well known public hunting area on the interweb??? may as well sale all your gear and retire now.

That's no big deal, the grasslands isn't some secret place that only 3-4 guys hunt anyhow, it's public and it gets hunted a lot that's the way it is. Why not help some guys find some birds. I guess it make you guys mad if I handed out the GIS maps I overlaid with the grasslands map and put every legal huntable body of water on there and handed them out, which i don't mind doing. I've got other places to hunt as well just thought id let some people know there were plenty of birds out there. I love the guys that come flying down the pond just to find someone set up already then they get all bent out of shape like they own the place. Half the time i invite guys that are a little

Cooper is on fire right now! With all the ducks at Tawakoni who needs to drive that far though.

Thats an airboat not a fan boat haha and I don't use it at the grasslands I user it at lewisville, towakani, and the river a lot.

Oh you boys went and did it now. I'm telling everyone in Louisiana that the ducks are at Lewisville, Towakani, and LBJ. BTW, duck hunting over here is real spotty. Too much water. I can't believe I'm saying that after the drought we just experienced. Also not enough snow and ice up north. A bad day over here is still usually a decent day though.

I live up here in Alvord and there is a lot of good hunting if u know where the birds are.

Taking a group of newbies up there in the morning, gonna show them clear lake, the pond on unit 51, and some others you have to treck to get to, oh and hopewell, Ill let you know how the hunt goes

Is LBJ grasslands open for evening hunts? I went out of town for work this weekend, and wanted to try and get in one last hunt before the duck season ended. I hunted Caddo grasslands on wednesday in the monsoon, but had zero luck. Appreciate the help.

well i take it its only all day for teal season. I haven't been able to find anything about times for lbj.

I hunt ray Roberts and kill the limit almost every time. I hope I didn't give away some super top secret info. If you want to hunt where I hunt, I'll be the guy in the camo waders and 7 mallard dekes. Good luck finding me in the 35,000 acres out there.

sptaylor, Hope you had a great time. according to your post you did. I live in PA. I don't mind telling people where I hunt. I have so many places on the same bit of land , I could move around. Especially Turkey. You live in PA., You want to know where to get a Bird, just ask me..

There is a public land for Ducks here in PA. that is sholder to shoulder the first day.(Saturday). But I go during the week, nobody but myself and maybe one other guy. Still plenty of Ducks. Pass shooting from one swamp to another. Just have to be smart. No problem telling people where it is. I know during the week it is mine!!
