I am looking to go on a guided Sandhill Crane hunt in the Panhandle. Any recommendations on outfitters? Has anybody hunted up there lately?
Thanks

Not so sure about he Pnahndle, but we used Trainham's Miller Creek Ranch and had one of the best hunts ever. Stoney put in the time and effort and had us on birds both days of the hunt. And regardless of the tempratures he kept you warm in that bline of his. Oh, and I think he is one of the few that actually hunts over Sandhill Mounts rather than plastic.

I HIGHLY reccomend him.

I have hunted the last 5 years with www.highflyingoutfitters.com. when I was in amarillo over christmas I didn't see any cranes. They may be south around tulia or lubbock but I don't know.

it is generally better to go in early november.

He's based in Amarillo, but hunts a big area. We were hunting near Plainview

really. That's weird. I wouldn't have thought they were in sunray since alot of the lakes were frozen.
