It is up to each individual city to set their own ordinance about this.In most cities you can shoot on your own property as long as the arrow does not leave your property. Same goes for b-b guns. Also, in most cities it is illegal to shoot in a public park unless there is a city sponsored event going on.

The only prohibition I can find would be for city parks.

b. It shall be unlawful for any person to carry or discharge firearms (unless permitted under subsection (18)a of this section), fireworks (unless permitted under subsection (18)c of this section), air guns, bows and arrows, slingshots or any device which would or could project any object which would or could create a fire hazard or any danger to the public in a park, except with joint written approval of the parks and recreation director and the city's fire chief, or their authorized designee.

So shooting mice with a pellet gun in the barn is illegal in town? Please....glad I live in the country....I shot 10 rounds of 22LR from the back door of the shop off the smoker about dusk, because I hadn't shot that gun in a while
