Elvis has left the building!!!!!!!  If you hunt North TEXAS, you might notice something missing!!! THE DUCKS!???????? Scouted several places and found huntable numbers for this morning...(few hundred in each spot) So that is where we went... Well, they weren't there this morning!???? Luckily for my group we had a flock of Geese fly by that I called to us... They managed to drop two:  Kelly's group only managed a few Teal. Man right now life is tough round these parts!!  I was able to drive around and get a few pictures... Thought that I would share... J.J. Few nice Pintails:  Couple Snows:  Blue Bling:

All awesome pictures. Too bad the hunt didn't go any better. Looks like there are some birds aroun though.

I feel your pain JJ. Saw VERY few birds at my place in NE Fannin County this weekend. Keepin' my fingers crossed for big arctic blast in the next week or so...

Love the pintail picture.  It's slowed down a lot for us too. Wife and I slowly chipped away at a couple limits this morning, but gave up 1 bird short because we got too hungry. She was off her game a little and missed a few "gimme's". But still had a great morning. Still mostly grey ducks too.

the thing about baiting is, even a rookie hunter could have a 170 bird season if they bait holes

Lots of birds on the refuge. Probably a reason for that.
I am in the group of four that hunted with Kelly on Tuesday. One of the best hunts I've had in a long, long time. Before J.J. and Kelly helped us clean 30 birds (that was a first for us) we drove through the refuge and checked out the flooded wetlands. Impressive gatherings of birds, for sure.
