Deer hunting on Grapevine (with proper permits) and this sow came a little too close. Now she is just chillin in a cooler. Shot her with my Diamond Fugitive and a Muzzy 125 tipped Ultima CE arrow. She went about 100 yards. She was 125-135lbs. Now she weighs in at about 65 boneless lbs. I get the hams, backstraps, front shoulders and tenderloins without ever gutting them and just doing a minimum amount of skinning. Carried her out (long walk) in a day pack.
If you ain't hunting, you ain't living right.

Wouldn't happen to be right around 377 and 1171 was it? I got 4 out there last year.

Call me slow but, I'm still trying to figure out how you pulled the tenderloins without pulling the gutts. I just wright them off.

2 inch slit between the last rib and the hip bone near the spine and you just reach in, dig around and pull them out. Most times you can pull them from the spine with just your fingers. I would like to do a video some time to share because it is so much easier than gutting and skinning the whole pig and everything except the front shoulders are boned out and ready to be packaged for eating. Fronts get done when I get home.
It is also easier if you start with the tri-tips off the back legs and work from there. Was a butcher when I was younger so that helps a bunch but anyone can do it and you get the best cuts and leave the rest for coyote bait.
If you ain't hunting, you ain't living right.

Same way that I quarter deer. I will skin almost completely but don't have to dress them out.
