I find it interesting how you scored this deer at 130 in the photos section, but when it comes to your deer they magically get an extra 28 7/8" that isn't there.

you are correct there is 28 7/8 worth of difference between the buck that i posted and that one cant get nothing by you now can we. but regardless that deer is still anice deer.

No doubt that I have been called that before, but just because I am a realist and I realistically judged the deer you posted (unlike you), I could honestly care less what you think. This is definitely not the first time I have seen an animal you have posted (which still has been a nice animal) that your "measurements" have been extremely questionable. Like I have mentioned the deer is an excellent 8 point, but I would be furious if I took the time to plan a hunt on a supposed 160" (158 7/8) deer and it ended up scoring 25" less.

I dont understand why people on here have nothing better to do. If a fella says a deer scores 158, then it did. If you dont have something nice to say, then dont say anything. Nice deer.

Not an entirely accurate statement. Regardless, If that deer is 158 7/8 then the kid pictured must be 6'6" 300lbs............

What does it matter to you what the deer scores? The kid shot a nice buck that made him happy. Sometimes we get to wrapped up in score and forget what its all about. We should be happy for the guy. Thats a pretty good deer for almost anyone. For all of the guys that are doubting the score...would you have shot him?

JROD, No one here has said anything about the deer not being a good deer. You are looking way to far into it. This is more of an outfitter integrity issue.

The issue has nothing to do with the deer being a great deer.

I don't have a dog in this race but I thought the deer was much smaller than indicated as well so I sent the pic with no details to a few guys who know how to estimate antlers. Consensus is 130's. Take it or what its worth. congrats to the hunter for a nice buck but a 158 8-point is a huge deer and I don't think this one gets there.

No doubt about it. Nice 8. However, what do you all think this deer scored? Higher or lower than 158". It looks a lot bigger than that 8 to me and it scored 11 inches less. 147 to be exact. For an 8 to go 160, it's gonna have to be one bad mamma jamma of an 8.

Isnt there a website or phone app that you can upload the pic, and a computer programs gives a close estimate on score based on body and facial characteristics?
Im too lazy to look and try it.

There is, but I hear that it is not very accurate. I think a college student programmed it if I remember correctly.
