My experience - TPWD Hunt Texas Online a joke. I'm not going out of business. Don't believe that rumor.

I TRYED ABOUT 10 DIFFRENT #S AND NOBODY EVER CALLED ME BACK

Works good on this end...matter of fact, a few guide services on here advertise through it. I've only had 2 not return messages or questionaires out of close to 15, one to a crashed computer and the other the spot was filled. Can't blame them for that...

lmao, I have that same problem, I like when my computer remebers for me.

I found 1 lease where they guy was advertising because he might lose a member, but didn't. I went and looked at another one that already had deer hunters but would lease for hogs on the off season, but didn't care for that one.

I have updated our lease every three weeks or so since April. We have had great response from it and I am very pleased with the entire site. It is a typical government site though so patience is required. We are listed under "Rock Bottom Ranch" and day lease only. We are booking up very quickly. Thanks to THF for the info you guys have provided!!!! I love this site!

We have had leases listed on there for over a year. We get a couple of emails every once in a while, but it has not had the impact that we thought that it would.

It hasn't worked for over 2 weeks now.

It is currently being upgraded and new software installed...they are going to a new computer program.

hmm... still not working. Good thing they are teh state, and not a private business. They would have gone bankrupt by now they way they do things.

If you have a facebook account do a search for Compadre Hunts. They list lease availability on their site.

There are some other sites that don't charge the sportsman or the service provider. TexasHuntFish.com is one and HuntingorFishing.com is another one. Check them out.

Also, do you know the status of the TPWD connection site?

They are working on it to have it working by the end of next week since TPWD is changing it website to the plone system, it's more complicated than one would think.

Neither one of these sites is worth a damn. Leases are 1,2, and 3 years old.
I called about one in Cherokee County this morning and the fellow that answered the phone told me he'd had the number for 4 plus years....
Just sayin...

Guess they missed their deadline. Still not up. Go figure.....

For something thats free from the State, I don't think you can complain unless your used to getting free things from the State. Yes, it's been down for over a year, but

Nothing is free in this life! Where does the money come from that pays these fine folks that work for the state? I guess you do not pay taxes??

Hunt Texas Online Connection is back and running as of last month/October.

Which is so true Mr Ribbons...... I guess if you have to buy a computer and DSL service, it wouldn't be free! The free part is you don't have to pay to use the service.... hence, it IS FREE,unlike a pay site. Maybe they could use a few IT people.
BTW, the pot called the kettle black!
