Leaving at 5am for Mayhill NM! 12 days in Wall tents and no cell phone coverage. Pics when I get back...Happy New Year to All!

We have been drawn the last 3 years. I missed last year because I had a total right knee replacement. They had over 20 inches of snow over Xmas, but should be mostly gone with highs in the upper 40s....

Good luck to you !! I hunted mayhill for many years when you could buy tags over the counter, killed many a good buck in the hills right behind the general store!

We will be hunting in those same hills...snow should have moved them down a liitle which is alright with me. Going to give the new knee a workout seems like everything out there is up hill...lol!

We are headed out Saturday to the same area. We will be hunting Carr Gap, Curtis and Mule Canyons depending on how the snow is effecting travel. Friend of mine that lives there said even with temps in the 40's the snow pack will still be there. In-laws are at the cabin this week and said deer are moving everywhere. Saw a "good" buck behind the cabin, neighbors might be disappointed if we cause him to spring a leak all over the snow in the neighborhood.
