I have finally moved through brass that was given to me several years ago by my Uncle and now looking to resupply.
I was looking through Sinclairs catalog and noticed that Winchester was a less expensive than Remington (but not by much).
Thoughts on buying one over the other?
Thanks in advance.

I'm probably not a good reference but I have heard that the Winchester brass is better than the Remington.

Few years ago, I got to sorting brass by weight and found winchester to be more consistant from case to case (compared to federal and remington). Case life had always been good so I stuck with it and use it exclusively in all my calibers.

I've always heard good things about Winchester brass.
If the cartridge is available, go with Lapua brass, you won't regret it.

Both are pretty good in my experiances and federal has been one of the worst.

Your only other decent option in 6mm besides those 2 is necking down Norma 7x57mm, that being said I'd go Winchester both times.

For 6mm Rem, it's a toss up- Rem or Win. For the 243, Lapua would be the best pick, but the most expensive. Win is good, and I like Nosler. If raw accuracy is the goal, and you have a high end rifle and scope, I'd go Lapua. If not, Win, Hornady, Rem, would all work fine.

Hey Sami thanks man! I just need to re-develop my loads for the Lapua and see how they go first. I initially developed on Winchester/SMK 168/Varget and the transition was supposed to be easy for me after I purchased the Lapua once shot stuff. It turns out the crossover is not apples for apples, I need to do new 5 load spreads AND switch out my 2.5-8x for my 6-24x scope on my .308 because I saw a few flyers and need to take myself out of the equation as much as possible (I was getting a little annoyed that day). It looks like (and I'm hoping) that 42.5gr of Varget will just need to become either 42.3 or 42.4 grains instead. I already did a 42.0 42.25 and 42.5 spread on Lapua and 42.25 was best, but not as good as 42.5 in Winchester brass. That Lapua brass just represents a pile of work, but hopefully it will be worth it in the end.
