A few months ago I posted a pic of this buck. I had said he was going to score around 150 he was shot this morning by a very proud young man and he scored 158 7/8 congrats Clay.

you guys are tough I posted the deer once before he was measured with a soft tape before he was released And I told you he would score right at 150 then and then we shot him and put a cable on him and he scored 158 and change and you still call him a 130's deer unbeleavable. lol

Was the young man paying by the score on this deer? Could explain the score.

No he was not paying for score and i do not run my operation that way I know some do and for somone to insinuate something like that when you dont even know me just shows what kind of people are out there. I have hunted with several people on this forum and have not had a bad thing said about me yet. If you guys really think that this is a 130's deer you better have your eyes checked and I hope you are not guides.

Nice deer and congrats to the young man  I am not questioning your integrity or your scoring ability, but I have to admit that the measurements are hard to swallow. I don't see 34" of mass, but pictures have fooled me before. Either way, nice buck

If you guys really think that this is a 130's deer you better have your eyes checked and I hope you are not guides. i can honestly say ive met and hunted with heath and hes been a great field judge on videos weve went over at camp and he sent me a pic of this deer w a lat price and said he thought hed go 150 i have a 142" 8 on my wall that looks like this one but is a hair shorter and 18" wide ive looked this deer over 5 times and bet $ he will go into the 150s either way congrats to the hunter on a great 8

heathe that's a nice 8 pt and the score looks about right for his frame. We killed a big 8 that scored 147 this year that wasn't as wide and beams weren't quite that long.
