Weird. I thought J and J was the place in Graford on 337? Anyways, all my meat goes to Kuby's. I eat at their restaurant and it's goooood!

The consumer report is appreciated but please tell us where j&j is located. Springtown I think that is J R's.

J&J started in Graford. Last year they took over the operation there at Jacksboro too and are running it. They also have a 3rd location - dropoff only in the region but I'm not sure where that is. Yep, always eat the schnitzel at Kuby's and would LOVE to have my deer processed there (had them do my Red Stag a few years back) but it's too far for me to get them my white tails. Earl Weird. Take your game to Dan Hamilton north of weatherford and you will be very pleased. I have always taken my stuff to him. He lives next to the shop and comes out to meet you, he hands you some snack sticks when you leave, his wife gave me some cookies and a bottle of water, and the guy working with him is very friendly. Not to mention his sausage and jerky is the best I've ever had.

Wow, that is sad to hear. I have been using J.R's for years and have always been happy with his work. I love the fact that he has 24hr drop off. He also does beautiful tax. work and will let you take as long as needed tp pay it off without pressuring you.Sorry you had a bad experience. Just doesn't sound like anything I have experienced there. Good luck in the future.

J & J is in Jacksboro, on 281 south of town. The consumer report is appreciated but please tell us where j&j is located. Springtown I think that is J R's. I believe you are correct, my bad. I think we should read all the posts before putting out a bad wrap....The original poster fishingbigjim confirmed the city in a second post as J & J in Jacksboro and gogburn who mentioned J R in Springtown made a correction admitting he got it wrong (kudos to gogburn for makin it right- ). I haven't used J & J but I have used J R a couple of times and so far they're always available when I call and have done an excellent job.....

Shot my first two deer this year. A nice sized doe and even larger spike. I followed a DVD video that a buddy of mine got with his butchering set from outdoor edge knives. Took all the stuff I couldn't trim really well to a local butcher and had him grind it up for me with a few pounds of bacon, jalepenos and garlic added to the mix. He charged me .40 cents a pound. Got around 10lbs of ground beef or so. I gave half of the doe to my buddy and I kept half of the spike. I ended up with about 40lbs of meat, steaks(sirloins & Tri tips, tenderloin fillets, backstrap steaks, steak fingers. After processing my own deer I had a great sense of accomplishment and saved my money for some more hunting. Unless I'm physically unable in the future or something I'll always take care of my harvests.

I haven't been to J&J since the screwed up my last one a few years back. I noticed I was short and wanted to know where the remainder was. They went and got what I was short of off another deer that was hanging! couldn't believe it.
I use Neils Taxidermy in Whitt. Great guy, clean as all get out, no hair whatsoever (yet), quick and real reasonable.

I believe Dan is related to Hamilton's in some way but I don't know that for certain. He doesn't operate in any relation to them however.
