 Today I packed it in early...

Lake X is getting tougher to hunt. Set up on a new spot. Had done some scouting, and this area was holding a few birds. Set up a decent spread, and put the dekes fairly close to my spot. Good cover, but no wind. Had a couple of quiver butt's working in there.  Birds came in early, but only a few singles. Two would commit to the spread, but the others were just flying by and lookin'. Had 4 birds by 7:45, and after that nothing... nada.   Nothing flying, no bird of any kind in the air. Loaded up the boat and was leaving the boat ramp by 8:42! Oh well, that's the way it goes on Lake X. 
 No bad days hunting
