What are you using for your jerk cord string? I have been to Home Depot, Lowes and Academy and haven't found anything I like. The closest was a roll of that black decoy cord at Academy but really didn't like that because I didn't want to have to crimp the loops or ties on.

So just thought I would ask y'all what you used. Last year I used a premade Mojo or another brands. Thought I could make my own this year but it doesn't seem to be working out

I just use the decoy cord. Overhand a couple of loops in it. Drop the texas rig weights through it. Or snap swivel some decoys to the loops, done it both ways.

The best I've found over the years is heavy duty black nylon trot line. You can buy it from most Walmart stores.

I use my boat anchor and a bunji (sp) cord. then use old decoy string and it works just fine

Rig Em Right Jerk Rig

Way easier to use than anything I've ever tried to make, and just clip/unclip the decoys. Amazing movement with this thing!

I have the rig 'em right. Used it for the first time on Wednesday. I'm not sold on jerk cords as of yet.

First few times I used it I had ducks in the dekes before lst swimming up to the ones on the rig and pecking at them. It was hilarious.

It was a slower than usual day so I'll give it some more time.

I used the Mojo Jerk-A-Spreader. It has three loops and comes with 3 spreaders. Each spreader has 4 hooks for decoys. If you use all the spreaders means you a full dozen moving. I like the spreader because the decoys arent just in a line. I got mine from MacksPW for $30. I think it is more effective than my flapper.

I made my own with black nylon trot line from Academy. Use the clip type catfish swivels so I can adjust where I put the decoys. Got a camping stake there as well with a hole in it so I can run the cord through it underwater and not have it run across the top of the water.

Oh now that was not very nice!
