Real antlers. Ideally, antlers from deer you have shot or sheds you have found in the same area you are rattling.
Those bags sound fake to me.

same area who cares as long as you found them on your land or close to your land bring them in. I have never found a set but if I ever do I would keep and have a story.

antlers, although i use a fake set i bought about 10 years ago, sound just like the real thing.
with rattle bags you just can't get the real sound
For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.

Ive used both with mixed results.Even tried that plastic rattle box with some success.JMO if the deer will respond to it,they all will work!

I've used both; both work fine. Rattle bags are easier to carry around. I never have used the plactic crap that I see a the store though.

I use real antler and Ive found that the thicker the antlers the better.
