Got this ringer last night. He was a big one. Decided to just breast him out but I'm kinda regretting it now.

I know alot of people don't like killing em but we never really get that many of em. My friend has 3 mounted wiffling in together and it's a sweet mount

I agree they are pretty enough, but don't know what they taste like. I've got some breast in the freezer and will either put in a gumbo or make jerky out of them.

Ringers are great for gumbo. If you hunt big waters long enough you will kill one with better plumage than that one. Good luck!

Dont care what anyone says...i love shooting ringers and the next drake i get is going on the wall. btw, they taste just fine.

They taste no different than a Mallard or a teal. They are veggie eaters. They just have to dive to get to their food.

Only thing about a Ringer is that they are hard to skin. But, a sharp knife will take care of that.
