I just started hunting there seen a few deer just seeing how good y'all hunters that hunts up there how many deer y'all harvest a good ratio of bucks or more does just let me know how it is
If your dog is barking at the back door and your wife is yelling at the front door, who do you let in first? The dog of course. He'll shut up once you let him in.

I guess it depends on where in Bandera County, but I've hunted there a few times and while the deer were high in number, they were absolutely tiny in body and horn.

I know...and see where Bandera is today? The majority of people that deer hunt just want to see deer. In Bandera county you will see deer. I read on here of people hunting in different parts of the state and going numerous times and never seeing even a doe.I have had people come out and say that they see more deer in one morning here than they see in an entire season where they normally hunt. Then there are those that hunt in AR counties and only seeing bucks that won't measure up and maybe they never will. The ones that are not measuring up are the ones that are most likely breeding the does. What does that give you in the future? I have lived here for close to 50 years and the deer population has increased. The antler and weight size seem to be about the same. Certain parts of the state are going to produce larger deer. I may be wrong but I would think it comes from what they have to eat. But like i said before if you want to go hunting and not be bored by not seeing anything Bandera County is the place to go.
