Wife had a wreck on her bike Friday evening!!!!!!!!!!!!

She was moving very slow, walking the puppy, she takes the pup on a leash and rides slowly along beside him, the dog was trotting along. She wouldn't have been going as fast as most kids, just the angle she hit I guess.

When I came in she was still gone, so I thought she must have had a flat, so I jumped on the ATV and headed down the point looking for her, and found her laying in the road. She had been there about 30 mintues, it then took another 45 for the meat wagon to get there??? They had to come out of Lufkin Tx.

She had flipped over the handle bars and landed badly. She broke her Right wrist,Left upper arm, Left shoulder, Left elbow, and Left Knee, and we aren't sure if the left hip is broken or not yet, still pending a MRI on Monday. So yep I've been at the hospital this weekend. I don't know what I'm going to do??? Doc said she would be in the hospital at least a few weeks. She can't even move up in the bed, Hummmmmm I guess I'll know more tomorrow about the hip and knee, they may go ahead with cutting the knee ???

Oh my gosh...my prayers and thoughts are with your wife and you as well. Please take care and we can do the deer hunt next year unless you might be able to go the second weekend of January.

Yall are in my prayers!! Take care and don't worry about the deer hunt, it's good for next year too.

Your wife is unbelievably fortunate to have someone who was prescient enough to immediately go looking for her. I'm really sorry to hear she's so busted up, and here's to a speedy and complete recovery.

Prayer sent and hope she has a fast recovery with as little pain as possible.

I would also like to request a prayer for my 1 month old niece. I dont mean to take over anothers Prayer request I'd just like to put them togther to hopefully make the prayers stronger for T.H's wife and my niece Maddie.

She went to the er with hopes of only a cold with fever but has been diagnosed with RSV (Respiratory Syncytial Virus Infection) and found out that she has bacteria in her blood yesterday but not sure what kind yet. They are going to retest to make sure that her culture was not contaminated in the lab.
Thank you so much.

Lord bless T.H's Wife, family and little Maddie. May they heal quickly and be strong through out all their suffering.
Amen

Thanks for the kind words guys. She is doing a little better tonight. Looks like she will be in the hospital a couple more weeks before they can even start rehab.........

Guy thanks for the call, it helped my spirits anyways.

btw Please don't call my cell number guys, I now have it set-up on hands free for her to use. It will only wake her up, if you call looking for me. She needs to rest

Your wife sounds like a tough woman Hilbilly, I’m sure she will be fine and back on that bike in no time. When I first read your post Evil Knievel Caesar's Palace came to mind, not sure anyone else broke that many bones! Keep us posted on progress!

Good to know that there are God fearing people on here. I'm a minister and we'll have our Church pray for you as well.

Praying she'll mend.

Tim

Here's a update on the wife. They were talking about moving her to a nursing home for eight weeks, then return her to the hospital for rehab. I've started classes to learn how to transfar her from a wheelchair to the bed. Looks like we have some Health Insurance issues to get worked out. Best case is Skilled Nursing home, second plan is to bring her home with House care nursing.

Best news is she got into a wheelchair today for the first time. This is the only time she hasn't been flat on her back in the bed for two weeks now.

Keep up the prayers, we arn't out of the woods yet

btw Does anybody have any information on wheelchair ramps and lifts ???
