Well I do know that if you get drawn and take a doe you automatically get to hunt the next year as well.

My buddy got drawn this year and said it was great... had 180+ class deer all around, but they were at 70-100 yards away. Did not sound too dificult to me, except he said you have to carry everything in and can't use atv's or trucks. Give it a shot... you might get drawn.

I have a buddy that hunts there about every year. He loves it. I am putting in for it next year for sure.

Depends on your definition of "worth". I live about 10 miles from Hagerman. Several years ago, there were two 200+ bucks killed in one season. One was 200 and some eights. I knew the guy that killed it with a stickbow and saw that deer. The other scored 203 and some eights and though I didn't see the deer, I saw the article about it in the Dallas paper.

What are the odds of getting a buck like that if you're drawn? Better than they are if you don't try.

I was kidding...
I've been drawn 3 times. I Killed a 120" 10 point. Should have let him go. There was a 160" deer shot out of my stand that same afternoon.
Had a buddy kill a 170" deer this year. I know of a 205" deer killed next to Hagerman this year.

My wife saw a big buck in the back of a guys truck at the Bank in Whitesboro last fall. His wife works there and he had stopped off to show it to her. There were some guys looking at it so she went over. She could tell it was big so she asked if he killed it at Hagerman. He hesitated and said "Yeah, near there". Well, come to find out the deer scored over 200 points but he didn't kill it near Hagerman. I won't say where he did kill it cause I'm sure he doesn't want the area flooded but it was barely even in the same county. I don't know if this is the same deer or not but I wouldn't be surprised.
