Picked up Max from American Brittany Rescue Saturday night. He is a 2 1/2 year old French Brit. My 10 month old American Brittany loves him to death.

Great looking pups. Got to love brittnays. My sister gave me a sign last year "love is being owned by a Brittnay".

Wheen I first got Jojo a friend did a search for Brittnays and on one forum the question was ask which breed would be most likely to hold a flashlight for a burgler, concensis was Brittnay.

Mine travels with me just about everywhere I go.

One of the things he really enjoys fblood trailing deer.

Taking a nap after a morning hunt, blood trailing a deer.

I volunteer quite a bit of time for ABR. Thanks for adopting one of the pups!

That is awesome. My next dog will be another Brittany to keep my 9month old Britt company.

I have considered the rescue route.

Do you plan to hunt him?

Plan on hunting both of them. I am leaving Thursday for the holidays to Salina, KS to spend time with my daughters and grandkiddos. Got a couple of pheasant hunts lined up but not sure if I am going to hunt them this trip. Neither of them have been so not sure what to expect. Might give both of them a try though. Both dogs have the instincts. Been working with Abby but have not had the time to work with Max. Max was given up by his owners because he was to full of energy. DUH! He has been a really good boy and is very calm to me. Great addition to the family. Any suggestions on dogs who have never hunted before would be appreciated?

I think Max is ready. I got my gun out of the cabinet to give it a go over and he jumped up on the loveseat and laid down. Didn't get excited when I brought the gun out. May be a good thing or a bad thing. smile

I just saw this Dave, great looking dog. They are natural bird hunters, if you go hunting, take them, there is nothing they could do that you cant work on later & the only way to know what needs to be worked on is to take them hunting. just don't let em get too far out from you & you will be fine. Love that black nose. Is he registered?
