I had a started black lab that's almost a year old. My daughter and I trained him & his littermate together for the first 6-8 months of their lives. His littermate now belongs to the DU Chairman of Oklahoma.

Youth weekend of waterfowl season, I met this young boy on his first duck hunt ever. He and his dad were embarking on this great duck hunting adventure together. The boy was admiring several other dogs, he was so pumped up about dogs & ducks, it warmed my heart. I spoke to his dad and the two were serious.

His dad about fell over when I told him his boy could have this started Lab for free. Something inside of me felt it was the right thing to do and the Lord had put me there for this family for a reason. Who am I to argue with the Lord?

So I would have had one for you, but he just recently left for his new home. Y'all pray he and the boy carry on this great tradition into the next generation, ok?
