Well, had an 8 man group cancel last minute yesterday and then had a 4 man group decide they were going to hit the bar's instead of go duck huntin' so, I found myself all ALONE...  So, what to do?????  I headed over to a nice little spot I know that was holding a few hundred of my Greenheaded friends and had an enjoyable morning with my dog BO!  Worked several flocks of mallards, and had at least 50 Teal swimming in the decoys over the course of 2 hours. Passed on countless Gadwalls...(could have easily shot a 10 man limit this morning) BUT, I was waiting and pickin' GREEN. Ended one short of my 5 mallard goal...  But ended with 4 mallard drakes and 2 Gadwalls...Not bad!  J.J.

This is the the JJ posts that I enjoy...glad to see that got to get back your old ways, pre-KO. Was sick of seeing all that that grey that your clients have been all over.... The gadwall lately have been like mosquitos. Congrats and looks like a great hunt....

JJ ... Very nice strap. 75% of my hunts are solo and the fact is I actually enjoy that the most. The dawg prefers another shooter being along for sheer volume numbers but it always has been the quality over quantity with me. ps: I still can't believe I whiffed 3 times at under 35 yards on a 4th drake mallard this morning!
