I killed this mountain lion this evening which was stalking some quail at my feeder. Something got ahold of his tail because it was shorter than most lions I have seen  Shot at 38yrds with my bow.

That is a rare spotted bobtail puma. Easy to make that mistake. The area's they cover are only limited to your imagination.

Thanks, I would have done a full body mount if all of his tail would have been there.

I actually have one of the few places with quail that I know of. I had 24 of them under this feeder Friday evening. I have 7 that come to another feeder. None of them will be shot this season. I have a couple of friends that are going to run their birddogs on them for practice, but all will be left to breed for next season.
