They got me on clindamycin and sulfameth/trimethoprim and it's apparently a quick weight loss regiment since I can't keep food down.

They got me on clindamycin and sulfameth/trimethoprim and it's apparently a quick weight loss regiment since I can't keep food down. That ABX cocktail tells me they think it may be a MRSA infection. Fight through the nausea....take the meds!

My prayers to you Sir! I am type II Diabetic and you are going through one of my worst fears... spider bite on a hand or foot.... Same here Diabeties sucks. Good luck with your finger. Infections are serious here in Texas theres alot of tetnus in the ground down here

MRSA was mentioned and if the infection moves more then I go in for the IV. Really sucks because work is busy busy and looks like the late rut might be kicking off at our place.

dang, hope you get better fast, thats nothing to mess with. My FIL is a diabetic, and he has to be extremely careful of stuff like this

well i was able to keep food down today and worked on the computer and getting good at typing with one hand. tomorrow they go back in again and see what happens.

Gotta believe it was a recluse inside your glove. A couple years back, I was up on the Little Red River fly fishing and my wife and I took our fire pit up there and cooked some steaks. Had left my gloves on the patio of this rental. Next day put my gloves on and got bit by a centipede that was inside the glove. Immediately swelled and I called a local ER. Luckily there are not poisonous centipedes in AR and they told me to ice and keep and eye on it.
Scared the you know what out of me ! Stay well and good luck.

well i got to take out the second thing of gauze today and the infection seems to be getting better. other than the big hole in my finger things are looking good. still waiting on the test results though.
