I hadn't seen that one before. Thanks for posting it. It just amazes me that people would spend that kind of money to shoot a drugged deer inside a 3 acre high fence pen. Those guys probably couldn't make a kill doing a spot and stalk on free ranging wild deer if their life depended on it. I just totally don't understand how there could be any personal satisfaction from the kind of killing shown on this video, but as long as those folks with that kind of money to throw around are allowed to do it, this stuff is going to keep going on. It's all about the money.

The said part in all of this. If hunting was completely banned, the only guys that will still be able to hunt are the very ones paying for such a hunt.

Greed, plain and simple!

It's all about the dollar, and advertising and selling a product, and having people spend their money on those products.

It's also about that dark side of human nature.

Doing things that get a person recognized and praised, and being able to say they are better than you, be it money or fame, it's the same reason that people cheat!

Having the monitary means, also makes it easier to cheat, and continue the process over and over, for the satisfaction they get from it.

We are our own worst enemy someone once said, and it's true!

That video is about three years old now. And, Jimmy Houston has already "paid the price" in more ways than one! Not to mention, the Indiana rancher that conducted those hunts!

Talk about morons and a total crock of That has to be one of the more piss poor ways to "kill" a deer. I can't beleive Houston would even be a part of that type of slaughtering. The deer just hit the fence and some dumb@ss on the side scares the deer towards the so called hunter. And you wonder why PETA has such great ammo for hunters who hunt in an ethical manner. That is freakin sad and shameful. Sounds like the so called "killers" including Houston should also be held accountable. They seem to have huge pocket books, to pay for this type of disgusting crap. I was just being sarcastic, lol. I am right with you, 7mag. Makes me sick as well. The sickest part was when the deer came under him and he tried to stop it with a grunt and it kept going till it hit the fence, he turned around and laughed at the camera.

yep, I wonder who is laughing now??? He joins the rank of the Country singer, who shot the bear. Real frekin sportsmans these guys are. That just turns my stomach.

And PETA can say that this video is posted on our forums over and over and be telling the truth. They won't tell the whole truth, about how real sportsman condemn these types of things, just that we post it. Time to delete it and move on.

I remember a couple of years ago when this came out and recall alot of the backlash that followed it. When you say he 'paid the price' I'm curious as to how? His show is still on the air (never been a fan), he still has sponsors. So how did he pay? I'd like to know, never heard what became of this.

I drove by the place where these hunts took place, saw a deer. It has been shut down but I don't know what they are doing with the animals, they also had a few elk.

people who would pay for hunts like that are in the same class as michael vick. I especially like the guy that bounced the arrow off the deer and then turned around and said he had just killed the biggest deer of his life. What a hero he must be to his kids. The world has become grossly overpopulated with lowlifes. Texas has it's share of them. I know one place in particular where the ranch hands go out and shoot the elk with rat shot before a hunt to keep them from running up to the hunting rigs for a handout.

Those are some real sportsman there. What kind of guy pays $15,000 to shoot a deer that is about to die proped up on some brush? .... thats chicken sh*t. I had never known about this, but I always thought Jimmy Houston was a D bag this just confirms it. I wonder if he kissed that deer after he killed it?

How or why is it legal to use these animals for commercialization? Having a high fence hunting operation is no more than hunting at a zoo. I could have sworn that deer in captivity were illegal and have wondered about this for years since these high fence ranches have cropped up.

This kind of BullSh@# threatens the future of hunting for us and our children.
