Pulled out my fathers P.S. Olt original D-2. I cleaned it and tuned it. It doesn't sound too terrible for a 50yr old call. I can remember my dad and my uncle blowing those calls and freezing my butt off on the Mississippi up in Illinois as kid. I'm gonna take it along Saturday and try to blow on it a bit and try not to scare away the ducks. Kinda like a tribute to his memory.

I don't mean to be picky but you have to take a better pic than that for a 50 year old call. I love old duck calls.

That call brings back old memories. Great job on preserving it.

From the mid eighties, Wal Mart if my memory serves me. I have lost and found the small piece more times than I can remember. Easiest duck call you will ever use.

You can make that call uber nasty by cutting down the tone board. If you ever need parts dj Illinois river valley calls has them. Olt keyhole calls are awesome.

I blew the old Olt exclusively and put away the daisy cutter, dbl nasty, and meat hanger on Saturday. I blew whistles for widgeons and pintails but GWT came in on a string. I love the range of the call. I can do gadwall, mallard, and divers.
