My black entourage and I headed out earlier to check the water levels on our place and was pleasantly surprised.

The back pond that had actually dried up this summer and had maybe a 5 gallon bucket of water in it after the rains a little back is up to normal levels.

The smaller pond closer to our main pond is back to normal levels. It was near dry before.

And our main pond is almost completely full.

Until these recent rains we pretty much been hunting a mudd ridden swimming pool. Whipple was fascinated that should could actually run in the water and Paxton was back to her old self and not worrying if she was gunna get shanked again busting through the slop.

Should make things interesting.

My place was dry this time last week but was full by Tueday. I didn't think we would fill up this year and never finshed my blind, needless to say I made a quick trip out this morning to get it done for tomorrow morning. Even had ducks trying to drop in while we were working.

Dave, we have been hunting in pretty much mudd lol. I can actually go jump the other ponds now.

huntdux, I was hoping that we caught a bunch of water but wasn't sure, thus why we headed out to check it out. I had to move some plywood out of the way that I had to use a couple of times to get out in some very nast stuff that I didn't even want my dogs in and also started to do some work on our blind that we normally use and had ducks coming in the whole time as well. Still need to do alot of work to it though. We are going to wing it in the morning and see what happens, not too sure how we will set up though. shocked
