I've been a ladder, tripod, hanging stand hunter for the most part with some stalking or ground sitting mixed in as needed but have only used a small pop-up for rifle hunting for my son but it is too small to bow hunt out of. I thought my Mathews LX was pretty quiet but inside my new Ameristep blind it seems much louder than I ever thought in the 2.5 years I've shot it. Has anyone else noticed how loud their bow was in the confines of a blind?

If you have open mesh, it is not as bad. As long as the blind is completely closed up, it will sound louder. It is like echoing off a solid wall.

And that’s a good thing. The increased noise in the blind means, less noise outside the blind. The noise will seem amplified to you, but it's only do to the sound deflecting from the walls of the blind.

Yes! A Weatherby does kill them deader.

I agree with that, but wonder if the bow is as quiet as I thought or is my hearing loss that advanced. I hope to try it out on some hogs soon.

I noticed the same thing Saturday. I hunted out of a buddies pop up in Brady. The blind was pretty roomy I thought. I even had both my small boys with me. Everything seemed great until I tried to draw my bow! The dang blind was about 6" too small. I had to pull my stabilizer off to draw. Even then I was pushing on the wall with my elbow. On the shot it seemed loud!
I'm not sure of the brand but he was told at Bass pro it was a good bow hunting blind.
You see them on TV all the time so I wouldn't worry about the noise but make sure it is big enough to shoot out of.
