Went to our lease SW of Llano this past weekend. Out of four days hunting only saw two bucks and they were 2 minutes apart. Shot what was barely a 10 pt. and saw a bigger one while going to pull that one back. My hunting buddy Roy also shot a doe. Other than that one spike and another buck were shot at but missed. There were two of us there for four days and three others for one day each. I'm guessing that all the green stuff they have changed their travel patterns, good guess or not?

Your 4 days of hunting has been better than my whole year in coryell and hamilton counties. But i think the EXTRA long acorn crop is the biggest reason for us. We still had acorns droping two weekends ago

Whatever the reason I sure hope it isn't like this next year. But on the other hand with as few deer that has been taken there should be a bumper crop next year. Two years like this and the next you should be beating them off with a stick.
