We are debating whether this is a cull buck or not

His back is not swayed. If you think he is inferior to the other young males on your place, then cull is appropriate. He doesn't look like a cull to me, in fact there is a lot of potential there. But a young 8 may be inferior to some eyes.

If you're asking if he would be fine on the dinner table and on the wall, then take your prize.

Depends what the rest of your herd looks like, but I would give him another year. Rough year this year for most areas and he is young.

That deer needs atleast 2 more years. Way too young. Long legs, no butt, no belly, and skinny neck.

Yes east texas. I dont think he looks real young. Hes a lot heavier than he looks in the picture, and if you look close he has a pretty good size body

I'd still give him a year because this year was so bad for the entire herd.

That was the only thing that kept me from shooting him.

If the drought had an effect on you guys then I would wait. Hard to tell sometimes whether it is a true cull or not.

Give him another year if you don't need to shoot him....

Time is not wasted if you spend it with the ones you love.
