If your hunting property is in a rural area do you report trespassers to the Game Warden or Sheriff's department?

I would call the SO. GWs are only 2 per county and may or may not be working at that particular time. The deputies can investigate just the same as the GWs and there are always some on duty.

Call the SO and they can call out the GW's once the culprits are caught.

My personal experience is that you should write your complaint on the bottom of a rock and throw it in a lake. When I hunted around Fairfield, we reported trespassers many times to the GW and SO. Both said there wasn't anything they could do unless they personally caught them and they didn't have time to sit around and wait for them.

Practice doesn’t make perfect.
Practice makes permanent.

That is very foolish advice. I'd look up Texas State Law on assault. You've just committed it.

IR type game cameras work day & night and they do it cheap!!! My camera has already caught 2 different sets of trespassers. Each time I saw evidence of trespassers, I would contact SO and GW. BTW if the SO will not even try to do anything, I would remind him that election years come around regularly and you know lots of voters in the county.

Ya make sure that you know tons of voters and I bet that changes their tune a little bit. Haha.
