Minox from Doug at camera land are outstanding and in your price range.

Just got done with my search. I was in the $400+/- price range, but the two I liked best in the $200+/- price range were the Nikon Monarch ATB and the Vortex Diamondback.
Didn't look at the Pentax or Bushnells.

I went to Cabelas to get a pair of ATBs since they were on sale. Ended up looking through the Leupold cascades and went when them for 299. Much better view IMO.

Bought a pair of Redfields 10x42 from Academy that I've been real impressed with so far this year. If a remember right they where around the $200 dollar mark.

Best ones I found in my price range were a set of Alpen's. I bought them at Sportman's Warehouse before they closed. I looked at several brands in the same price range and they are the best I found. Good luck

I as well have the redfields 10x42's roof prisms. They are around the $150 range and descent. Friend of mine has some Vortex's diamondbacks that are awesome as well. Vortex also offers a no questions ask free replacement or repair of any product they make! Check out their warranty link. http://www.vortexoptics.com/content/vip_warranty
