He would have been a good deer next yr and was probably a good deer last yr and the yr prior to that too, but he looks dang good on the ground this yr

I thought big deer couldn't be grown north of US 90 or east of I 45.  That is a stud!!! Congratulations on a true trophy.

He may be a mainframe 8 but he has quite a few non'typ points. I'd say he may go 158 to 163 non typ...depending on his bases. He is definitely worth mounting. Many congradulations....he walks in on water in East Texas...My old school buddy Clyde Arden Weaver got a good one several yrs ago in lower Smith County, I think scored 173...I see a 180 or near 180 8 in So Texas about every 4 to 6 yrs...but they are rare..I like an 8 more than some of the others...Don
