What is a good heigth for the windows to be. They are 11" tall. I was thinking of around 40" from the floor. I am 6'4". Any help would be appreciated.

sit in your hunting chair... have someone hold up a piece of paper or cardboard or anything as the bottom of the window. then you can get a feel for height.
it all depends on your chair. Personally I used a lawn chair for height measurement. then bought adjustable office chair so you can be at perfect level.

Trust me on this from experience, it will seem low but usually you are angle down when shooting. 36" Im 6'4 also.
Maybe up to 38" but it depend on your chair adn if you have any vertically challenge with you they wont be able to reach. Also if need be you can build up height with coat, rest pad, but you cant cut it down! good luck

Do like bassinger said: pick the chair that you're going to hunt from, get in a shooting position, mark the height, and knock off a couple of extra inches.

I bought some plans to build a blind on ebay. It only cost around six bucks. They email you a link that you open witha password. These plans were so easy to follow. They will help you make a really nice blind with really nice windos. My freinds were impressed with my blind and the window height was perfect.

Window height can correspond to the type of chair you use in the blind. I use a cheapo adjustable height/swivel office chair from Kmart- 19.95. I hunt with my kids so this played a big role in my blind design. Pick a comfortable height for the kids and yourself by having the kids sit in chair with both feet on ground, aim gun- take measurement, and go from there. Works for us.

I use 36" also. I arrived at that by using the "sit in your chair" method mentioned above.
