If you go into my blind, you will see bunches of old piles of used lip dip on the ground. I almost always have a dip in my mouth while I hunt.

Deer seemed like he was judging you. I dip while I hunt but I go with the cheap stuff. Cope is too dang expensive.

I try not to when bow hunting. I've never seen the smell bother them, but leaning over a little bit to spit, I've been busted before.

This is my first year not to dip. I sure didn't quit because I didn't enjoy a good dip while I was hunting!!! At times, it feels like someone died when I think about missing my CopenHagen in the stand. Your supposed to spit in the dirt, Right?

You will know when to quit when it burns a big hole inside your lip. Then you will wish you never started. How do I know? It happened to me.

I was sitting in a tripod before season trying to see where the deer were moving. I had a dip in and carefully leaned over to spit. I must have almost spit on a doe's head. She spooked and started blowing and stomping at me. I think it scared me more than her.

I'd rather be huntin'......

I was sitting in a tripod a few weeks ago and had a spike get within a couple yards of the base of the tripod. So I decided I was going to have a lil fun and try and spit some cope on his head. Never could judge the wind correctly, but everytime the spit landed beside him he would kinda jump, bend down and smell (possibly lick, I couldn't tell) it then look around. I made 4 attempts before I decided to give up spitting and I was going to try to pee on him, but he got a out of range before I could attempt it. Sure was funny though.

Not sure if it makes a difference, but I switched from regular cope to the cope wintergreen 3 years ago (stupid x-gf made me switch because she said the regular stuff made my breath stink and now I'm hooked on the wintergreen).

I tell ya what, if your not seeing deer, put a dip in and they show up. Seems like that's always the case for me.

Or when the pull out what teeth you have left, peel back the gum off of the jaw bone and scrape the cancer off of your jaw bone. That will make that dip taste a little worse.

I work hard, drink a little and hunt when I can.

Cope is the "Heroin" of the snuff family. I only spit 1 time after a dip, just eat it from there on out. I panic if I can't find my snuff! Sad state of affairs I'm in!

Skoal Orignal-I have deer within 10 yards and even closer, once had a young buck smell of my spit. I also use it to kill
fire ants.

Used to dip but got tired of my two legged doe snorting and wheezing at me.
