My LR-308 has a horrible trigger. I tried to sweeten it up, but did not have great results, now it will fire if the trigger is released slowly. So I swapped the parts from my AR-15 so I could still use it for hunting tomorrow. I want a new trigger for it. The wife said I could order which ever one I want for my Christmas present. I don't know anything about 2 stage triggers, not sure if I want one or a single stage. Any help is appreciated. I want a trigger that will last, and not give me any trouble, also want one that is not horrible like the stock trigger.

I would go single stage in my opinion, zero creep or slack. There are alot of good drop in options, Timney, CMC, Jard, Giessele etc. I personally use the JP match kits, but its not drop in.

I have the Jard single-stage adjustable, and it is excellent. It goes in like the OEM parts, which I like. It takes a bit of fiddling to adjust it, but the results are very nice.

I don't mind a none drop in. As long as it doesn't need to be machined. Do you have a link to the one you like. I looked and there are so many different ones by each manufacturer. Especially the Giessel. Is your JP a single stage?

Cool thanks. Got so many to look into. Any idea on the amount of trigger pull? This is overwhelming.

I'm looking for one too right now. I have heard countless good things about the Geissele SSA-E. It is most likely what I will be putting my my Daniel Defense M4.

I have to agree on the RR 2 stage! Very crisp, & good trigger!

thanks guys, Geissele has a trigger for 200 bucks, but it is not adjustable. The adjustable one is 300. Does anyone think it is worth the extra 100 for a tactical type rifle. It is 16" barrel.

Just my opinion but buy a Timney...... Single stage with no creep and they just drop in very nicely.
Shhhhhhhh better to be quiet than remove all doubt..

I have the Jard single-stage adjustable, and it is excellent. It goes in like the OEM parts, which I like. It takes a bit of fiddling to adjust it, but the results are very nice. Thanks can you give me a link to the one you have. I believe I bought #1023 . I searched through a three-inch stack of invoices and can't find the one my trigger is on, even though I did find the installation instructions. I know it was an adjustable single-stage for small pin receivers so it was #1023 or maybe #1024. But that stack of invoices...I'm tempted to add them all up for some reason, but then again---I think maybe I don't really wanna know!

Thanks for all your help guys. I went and ordered the Geiselle SSA-E 2 stage trigger. First stage is 2.3 lbs, and second is 1.2 lbs. They shipped it yesterday. Got it from Bravo company. Hope it makes it here fast.
