Man that is like asking a guy if you can call his girlfriend and ask her out the day after he broke up with her.. LOL..somethings are sacred.... Get the wick fowlers 2 alarm...mix... i make 10 gallons at a time, 2 pounds kidney beans, 2 pounds pinto beans... I will add a little more chili powder, a couple extra cans of tomaote sauce, some other seasons, mainly hot stuff, an a beer or two...I simmer mine 3 times as long as it calls for.... This is the one I use the most, I have others, but would have to look for it. While we are on the subject, can we share marinades and seasonings for jerky????? Mine is OK< others are better, but I hate payint 7 to 12 a pound for it.

I cant give out the exact recipe but I can tell you my brother made me try putting cinnamon in it and some home made hotsouce. The cinnamon gives it a unique flavor. trust me it is good. oh 1 more thing is i use ground sausage for the meat in my chili.

I have heard that with the cinnamon.....never tried it. That brings to mine a time I added 1/4 cup of hot chocoloate mix to mine, it was a big batch of 6 gallons, thought I had heard it done and what the heck and tried it...it was pretty darn good.

Well I guess I cheat. I use the Wick Fowlers 2 alarm you get in the store. I add a few extras but I have had other folks "Secret Chili Recipes" an IMHO mine is better.

I will soak beans two nights before and then cook them one day before...This is a big project when I make chili and I have about 20lbs of ground venison left, I have not made enough chili, so soon, I will spend the evening making chili and eating it up from the first bow hunt to the opening of deer season and then start all over again.

I used to agree with you, but then you had a pot of bean and the folks added the beans to their bowls.....I will make about 2 batches, usually 3 gallons each without beans for those who do not want beans, but most want beans in it now.

I've gotten a trophy or two using this one as a base, but adding and subtracting a few things based on my taste. I also split the meat 50/50 cubed to ground. Always a crowd pleaser! http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/emeril-lagasse/tex-mex-style-venison-chili-recipe.html

Pertnear’s Chili Recipe
For this recipe you are going to need a 2 quart pot. This recipe has 3 drops to it. Brown 2 pounds of ground venison and drain all the grease off and add to the pot. Now add one 16 ounce can of beef broth and one 8 ounce can of tomato sauce. Add 2 jalapenos to the pot and bring to a boil. When the boil starts add drop 1.
Drop 1: 1 Tablespoon of onion powder 2 Teaspoons of garlic powder 1 Tablespoon of Chili Powder Cover the pot and reduce heat to simmer for 1 hour. Remove the peppers and crush the juice into the pot (no seeds).
Now its time to add Drop 2 to the pot.
Drop 2: 2 Tablespoons chili powder 2 Teaspoons comino 1/4 Teaspoon black pepper 1/4 Teaspoon white pepper 1/4 Teaspoon cayenne pepper 1 cube beef bullion 1 cube chicken bullion 1/2 Teaspoon brown sugar
Continue boiling with lid on for 30 minutes. After the 30 minutes add the last drop.
Drop 3: 2 Teaspoons Chili Powder 1 Teaspoon comino Salt to taste
Cover it up and simmer for 15 minutes more and serve it up.
If ya' gotta add beans, use canned red kidney beans & add during last 15 minutes.

I would give mine out, but I'm not sure anyone wants to use 12lbs of deer meat.

First, you start with a big bag of dried beans. Soak them overnight until they swell up. Rinse them well then cover with fresh water and slowly bring them up to a boil. Add ham bone and season to taste. Make up a skillet of cornbread to eat with your beans and think about what a shame it would be to ruin your good beans by adding them to your finest batch of venison chili.
