Mr. Gilbert is a great guy, he helps a lot of guys out. I enjoyed meeting him and his wife, they are both very nice people and good Christians I may add.

Nice deer and nice to have friends Did the deer drop in its tracks? LOL no,That feeder ran empty,so I hand corned it,just hoping to get a doe.I hung a stand about 30 yds away on a bench above a wide creek. It was crazy windy, and I hadnt seen anything all day.It was 5 pm,and I had been in the stand since 0530 am.So as a last"hoorah",I banged some sheds together, and hit the grunt call.Less than 1 min later, this guys comes flying out of the creek bed.It caught me by surprise, and he just blew right by me,moving up to the second bench, and out of sight.I gunted,he came back, but no shot.He left again,I grunted, and rubbed the horns,he came back again. This cat n mouse game went on for the better part of 20 min.It was an emotional rollercoaster.I thought he was gone for good, then hed be back,up,down up,down. He circled downwind, then came in from the west, kind of trotting.I drew,he got broadside and I "whooped" at him.3 steps later he froze and presented me with a perfect shot.THWAACK,he ran up on the second bench.leaving blood, that I could see from the stand.I gave him 30 min,and found him folded up 30 or so yard away under that feeder.

Great times, sounds like an awesome hunt with a great finish I was curious looking at the pic. Only had one deer ever drop when I was using a bow.
