Corn or corn & roasted soybean mix in a spin type feeder or protein pellets in a free choice feeder is all the attractant needed.
Food plots if you have the means to plant them and the moisture for them to grow. The pigs will tear them up too.

A doe will attract bucks better than anything you can buy.

Unless you have money to burn don't waste it on gimmick products.

I second the Corn & Soybean mix! The turkeys also love the soybeans!!

Don't shoot does until December. (More does you have on your land during the Rut, the more Bucks that will show). You start shooting does in November, they'll be pressured off the land onto someone elses. The Bucks will follow them.

I tend to disagree. The more does that are in heat, the less a buck has to chase. Think about it. Futhermore, if you shoot does in December or late in the season, the greater chance they are already bred. Thus, effecting your future herd. One other piece of advice, if you do plan on harvesting a doe, DO NOT shoot it off of one of your feeders.

I typically like to harvest does on our land early in the season or especially during the youth season after I have done a survey and know how many I think need to be harvested in that particular year.

Hope this helps.

This or sulfur block seems to work...Just don't put under a big Oak tree, the salt will kill the tree...X3 on the doe, best attractant of all.

ErathKid: The sulfur salt lick doesn't make the meat taste weird? I've never heard of that before.

justbreezin: Any reason why you shouldn't harvest does from a feeder? And how should you get them if you don't stalk...?

Sorry if my questions have obvious answers, I'm just a newbie.

If it looks good, eat it.

Rocks are cool, also kittens.

Wintergreen definitely scares them off, stick to regular Cope Long cut and your success rates will improve tremendously.

Tinks i always put out but never had a buck run up to it or anything.
he means do not shoot a doe at your feeded bc she will come back to YOUR feeded when she is in heat she will come back to YOUR feeder and have a buck with her.... shoot him smile

If I put my wife in a high fence will her rack get bigger?
