Is there no way around the 13 inch rule? The deer is an absolute stud. Def 6 yo huge mass 2's are every bit of 15 inches tall. The dominant deer. Are there any exceptions?

If your county has one get him during the antler-less season.

I feel your pain. I hunted a couple of days ago over at a buddies and this monster buck stepped out and I was all kinds of excited until he looked away and I saw his antlers were growing straight up! I talked to my buddy about him and he said not only has he been watching him, but there are couple of younger bucks running around his place with the same type racks. We both figure in a few years they will be all there is. I wish the state would include a wildcard tag on the license so an obvious cull can be removed.

UMMM, how is this any more legal than shooting it now? Seems to me that if you shoot an antlered deer during spike and antlerless only season, you are still breaking the law.

Could you explain your reasoning to me?

Yeah I was joking and forgot to put the smiley on. The joke was assuming the deer lost his antlers and became "antlerless." Sorry. grin
