If it was a "PET" then they should have kept it penned up. The deer was borderline tame but that does not make it someones pet. The guy was told if he sees a deer that is hurt he could shoot it. This deer was missing one of his pads so he walked with a limp....That is where the mercy killing came from. Why not be happy for the guy who just shot a buck of a lifetime? I know the guy that shot him and he's a great guy and he didn't poach him..... How come every big deer is poached until proven otherwise? Because most everyone on here aren't serious deer hunters and are on here more than they are in the woods. Yes i know im posting on here now but i've already shot 2 bucks. So dont even try to say anything about me being on here. Not every big deer in this world is high fenced. People that shoot deer like this put work into and deserve it. Leave the poor guy alone and be happy for him people. Yes his neighbor watched the deer for years.. But thats part of it. Its wildlife. He jumped the fence and this guy was sitting in the right spot. Any true hunter that hunts Denton County knows what is out in these woods, and what all you others say doesn't matter. Yes you can try to lease something up here but i can Guarantee you there are 25 locals on the waiting list ahead of you. So drop it, Everything about this deer is legal and ethical. So shut up You do realize the guy you are telling to shut up, basically said the same thing in the post you quoted right?

ok guys, 1 st time post, usually just read and laugh, but i can tell u that i have lived in denton county for 14 years now and counted as many as 19 deer at one time next to the house. saw a nice 10 point have his way with a doe tuesday morn of last week. about 10 seconds and he was done. haven't seen the one we call porkey pine,( know i spelled it wrong ), this year, but 22 point non-typical. and no i'm not going to tell any body where i live . still love to just watch'em There is a reason we say there aren't any deer in denton county. You aren't helping.
