im looking for a female chocolate lab pup to train and have as a family house dog as my male has passed away and its not the same with out a tennis ball bouncing around the house if any one has any info where i can get one that would be great and i prefer a registered dog thanks again.....

Parker Gun Dogs in Waco should be having a litter any day now. Look them up online. They will be priced right and have good blood lines. I just got a black from them in August and she is doing great.

That was my first thought, but by the way I read the OP, he sort of added 'registered' as an after thougt, so I thought GP might be way more expensive than what he had in mind. Maybe it's just the way I read it, tho'.

Can you give us an idea of price/quality/conformation (small, lithe, field trial vs large, big bone, hunting?)

Sorry, I didn't say anything because we don't have any chocolate females right now and when we do, they go fast. We have a litter coming in the spring that should produce chocolates, but no guarantees as to whether there'd be any females. Our spring pups are usually hunting by mid-season of the following open waterfowl season because we condition them from birth.

Iron spike you where gonna be my first recommendation but I noticed you did not have any chocolate pups available.from what iv read you're the go to lady for a quality hunting dog.

Thank you for that - I appreciate the vote of confidence! I did send a text to a friend of mine whose lines overlap with mine. She sometimes has some nice pups - usually chocolate. I haven't heard back from her, though.

Shooter x Bandit in the Spring should produce some chocolates, but statistically, it should only be 20-25% of the litter.

If I had enough interest, I'd cross Bomber (the big ol' boy in my 'grizzlies' post) on Snickers for all chocolate with a lot of drive & people-pleasing, but I'd need several reservations. Snickers threw 11 pups the last time she was bred! I get a lot of requests for chocolate females, not so many for chocolate males.

Thanks but i got this one day too late i will most likely be looking for another one in the spring after i get this one broke in a bit thanks for all the help guys i found a female i just couldnt live with out yesterday and ill pick her up tommorow and we will start our training this week
