This past weekend I went mule deer hunting on some family land up in the panhandle. I didn't see a deer, but this buck showed up every night a munched on some alfalfa and corn I had put out. Hopefully he'll live through the season and be bigger next year.

He looks fairly young. Maybe we will get some rain next year and you should see a big increase in his head gear if that happens. The drought has really done a number on the mule deer racks in the Panhandle.
