I had the opportunity to hunt in South Texas. We went to 74 Ranch Resort. What an incredible place. The ranch takes up 3 counties and it is 42 sqaure miles large!!! 6 square miles of river bottom (not HF) and 36 sq miles (HF). The Lodge, accomodations and service was 5 star to say the least. In 4 sittings, I saw over 100 deer, 150 turkeys, a dozen javalina, hogs, coyotes.....I dont think that 5 minutes passed before animals showed up at every sitting. I managed a river bottom 9 point ( 178 lbs), 2 javalinas and a doe, my buddy killed a bruiser 13 point, 2 javalinas and 2 does. HF or no HF...the hunt was incredible....I would recommend it to anyone!!!!

Nice deer. I bowhunted down there about 20 years ago.
They had some huge nasty hogs down there then.
I didn't think I was going to make it back to camp one morning
I had so many hogs around me. They have huge alligators in
their ponds too. They failed to tell us about those. I had to
change my drawers a couple of times on that trip.
