been using limestone to make a fire pit, doesn't work very well looking for ideas for a cooking pit, something that will handle the #20 skillet and maybe 4 other skillets and dutch ovens, all but three pcs are GRISWOLD

did you know most americans lack iron in the body nowdays, its because we dont cook on cast iron anymore, true story.

I do not know anything about the firepit but that is an impressive collection of the cast iron. I like the big skillet with the 2 handles.

I miss being able to use my cast iron. I bought a glass top stove, and didn't realize you can cook with cast iron on top of them!

Sure you can. I put a piece of foil down in between the skillet and glass. I do not do my blackened stuff on there though. I use a hot pad for that. Bacon, eggs and other meat is done on top of smoothtop. I have had the range for 4 years.
